District Field Offices--A network of 19 district offices located across the state serve individuals with disabilities. At each field office, vocational rehabilitation (VR) counselors assist individuals with disabilities in obtaining the education, training, and supportive services that they need to life an independent life. Business Relations--Business relations representatives across the state assist business owners and employers in developing strategies relating to disability issues in the workplace. More >
Transition Services--Vocational rehabilitation transition counselors serving targeted school districts work with high school students and VR counselors to help students make the transition from high school to further education or work. More >
Telecommunications Access Program (TAP)--This program provides free specialized telephone equipment to Arkansans who are deaf, hard-of-hearing, or deaf-blind or who have a speech, visual, mobility, or cognitive impairment that prevents them from using a standard telephone. More >
Services for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (SDHH) -- It is the mission of SDHH to provide high quality, innovative services that result in employment opportunities, improved quality of life and full inclusion in society for Arkansans who are deaf, hard of hearing, late-deafened, and deafblind. The professional staff of SDHH are knowledgeable about the unique barriers faced by people with hearing loss and speech disabilities and are experienced in collaborating with both the person experiencing the barrier as well as the community at large to develop effective solutions.
